Hello, and welcome back to the Forensic Files® website!
Like most people, I look forward to November, especially gathering with family and friends for the celebration of Thanksgiving. But I’m also reminded of a frightening statistic: According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, a division of the US Department of Justice, in the case of most homicides, the victim knew – and no doubt trusted -- the killer.*
This month, we premiere two Forensic Files® episodes that expose the consequences when trust turns to betrayal.
On November 14 (10:00 PM Eastern/Pacific), in “Last Dance,” we tell the story of a vivacious young woman whose faith in a friend leads to horrific violence. With no eyewitnesses, investigators hope blood evidence at the scene will reveal the truth. And, as you’ll see, the killer was being watched after all – by the impartial, unblinking eye of a security camera.
“Constructive Criticism” premieres on November 21 at 10:00 PM Eastern/Pacific. A violent thunderstorm provides backdrop for the murder of a construction project manager, who was brutally attacked and stabbed in his office. Investigators find the killer’s blood at the crime scene, but it isn’t until they look into the victim’s closest circle of friends that they find a suspect. Through computer analysis, we learn just how desperate this killer was to cover up his trail of lies and deceit.
Thanks for stopping by the Forensic Files website, and best wishes to you and yours for a wonderful Thanksgiving.
