John F. Kennedy
35th President of the United States
Was Lee Harvey Oswald solely responsible for
the death of John F. Kennedy, or was there a
second gunman on the Grassy Knoll? On the 40th
anniversary of the assassination for John F.
Kennedy, our award-winning 1-hour special aired
on Court TV and shed new light on an enduring
mystery. “The JFK Assassination: Investigation
Reopened” took a fresh new look at the
forensic evidence, including a controversial
audio recording thought to contain sounds of
the gunshots that killed the President. Digital
audio analysis by a renowned expert helped look
beyond conspiracy theories and provided a new
perspective on a long-disputed case.
You may have noticed the 3-D animation we
did for that episode. Most of them were done,
at least in part by our own in-house graphics
team. Animation is a great way to explain
complicated concepts -- for example, how the
so-called “magic bullet” could
travel through President Kennedy, Governor
Connelly and into his thigh.
For those of you interested, you can still

documents, we used in the special by visiting
